Teaching

Life has been crazy lately.  Full of good things, so I can't complain.  Teaching always keeps me on my toes and I can never get bored...I teach at three different schools!

By far the most challenging and yet the most rewarding is LifeBridge Learning Centre (click to see video about the school).  I've had to learn the long, slow hard way how impatient of a person I am, but God has taught me that His patience knows no limits.  Where I fall short of love, God's love reaches to the heavens.  These kids have taught me more about myself and of God than I could ever teach them.

Secondly, For the past two school years I have also been substitute teaching at Dalat International School.  I've taught all subjects and grades but this experience has really given me a soft spot for the elementary grades (and a disdain for middle school....)  The students at Dalat are like a breath of fresh air for me.  It's like night and day from Lifebridge, which is exactly what I need.  I really appreciate the school's welcoming and God-honoring environment.

"Do you like bike ridding?"  Her dad is also an avid cyclist :)

Lastly, I teach one morning a week at myTESOL.  This is for adults coming mostly from Japan and Korea, with occasional students coming from everywhere.  I love teaching the higher-level English speakers (because let's face it....it's not very exciting to spend three house practicing "That is a pencil.  This is a pencil.") because I learn so much about their culture and ways of thinking.  I have my work visa through myTESOL.

I've come so far in the past few years and I feel so blessed, to be here and to be a part of so many people's stories.
