I've been repeating this to myself over and over (and over and over, every five minutes) lately:

This is God's goodness for me today.

God's goodness is that I spent two hours getting Ellis to sleep last night....and then he slept 8 hours straight (thanks, son!)

God's goodness is that Ellis woke up extra early this morning (from aforementioned evening) thus had an early nap, which meant I could take him on a run afterward while it was still cool outside.

God's goodness is that I was locked out of my apartment yesterday with no phone, no husband, no diapers, no anything except my key (that wouldn't unlock my jammed door)...and breast milk (hooray!)  It was quite the fiasco and included lots of tears -none of which were baby's- as I wandered around our building trying to figure out what to do.   It was resolved very quickly- the lock ended up having to be broken.

God's goodness is how the thunderstorm has been keeping up Ellis all evening, but it's keeping the weather cool and watering my plants, which is one less thing for me to do.

And God's goodness is Reuben's domestic flight in Nepal being turned around after take-off, because who knows what was wrong with the plane.

We've got a roller...and a double chin!

Love divine has seen an counted
Every tear it caused to fall,
And the storm which Love appointed
Was its choicest gift of all.
