We went to the Cameron Highlands for a short holiday this week. It's a three hour drive from Penang (or six, if you have a terrible traveller in the backseat). We stayed at a Christian guesthouse that had been recommended by many of our friends.
What a breath of fresh air. Cool weather. Wide open spaces. Roses. A big old bungalow with creaky wood floors and fireplaces. Quiet & rest. It was just what I needed.

My only regrets are not discovering it before, and not staying long enough. We will most definitely be back. I'm already thinking about our next trip!
