Gingerbread playdough

'Tis the season!  I toyed with the idea of attempting to make a gingerbread house or cookies with Ellis, but I made a projection into the future and saw that it probably wouldn't have ended well.  I wanted to make something festive that Ellis could play with, so I made the next best thing:
gingerbread play dough.  It's full of spices I already had in my cupboard and is quick to pull together. Recipe below!

Gingerbread play dough:

1 cup Flour
1/4 cup Salt
2 tsp Cream of Tartar
1 cup Water
1 1/2  or 2 Tbsp Oil
1 – 2 tsp ground Cinnamon
1- 2 tsp ground Ginger
1 tsp ground Nutmeg
1 tsp ground Cloves

Mix all ingredients in a sauce pan.  Stir, stir, stir! Cook slowly over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it begins to thicken. Once the mixture forms one large ball, remove the dough from the heat, and knead by hand until smooth.
